Within 5 months of its launch, the TATA Agrico Grasshopper Rotary Tiller sales have crossed the 100 mark. 100 incidentally was the target set for the first year. This again highlights the trust factor that customers attach to a TATA product.

Agrico office is seeing a flurry of activities aimed at a pan India launch of the machine by 2011.

TATA Agrico General Purpose Hand Tools were launched in Karnataka in the third week of October, 2010. The launches happened at 3 places - Bengaluru, Bijapur & Shimoga. 

Mr. Zubair Ahmed of Indian Trading, Mr. Rajendra Oswal of Ramdev Hardwares and Mr. Manjunatha of Nataraja Marketing hosted the functions attended by RSM Mr. Mahim Mehta and BDM Mr. Dijo Joseph from Central Marketing. The event showcased the hand tools range from Agrico and produced great deal of excitement among the dealers and industrialists attending the event.

TATA Agrico has much more to offer to the Indian kisan now than ever before, it has entered the mechanized farm equipments sector with the launch of Tata Agrico GRASSHOPPER Rotary Tiller. The initial launch is only in Bihar, where trial and testing had been going on for months. The rollout to other Indian states will happen in a phased manner. This will be Agrico's first major venture in the mechanized equipment market and other implements will follow soon.
