SAFETY TIPS FOR USERS

  • Wrench

    Pull and not push.

    Use adjustable wrench.

    Do not use a hammer to adjust the wrench dimensions.

    Turn adjustable wrench towards the movable jaw.

    Do not use the same wrench for multiple purposes.

    Turn the wrench clock-wise to tighten and anti-clockwise to loosen.

  • Spanner

    Keep your wrist straight when using spanner.

    Do not apply excessive force.

    Wear gloves when using spanner

    Use safety glasses and goggles when using spanner.

    Do not hold stock by the palm.

    Do not bend your spanner handle by adding leverage to increase the length of the spanner.

    Keep the spanner away from moisture to psrevent it from rusting and corrosion.

  • Pliers

    When using pliers, protect your eyes with goggles.

    Do not expose pliers to excessive heat.

    Hold pliers at right angle.

    Use adjustable pliers for a comfortable handgrip.

    Use gloves when using pliers.

    Do not use pliers for tightening loose nuts.

  • Hammer

    Check hammer weight to determine sling size.

    Use hammer handle made of kikkar wood, which facilitates better handling.

    Do not use hammer head with cracks and dents.

    Always grip the hammer by the handle and ensure that your thumb sits on the top of the shaft.

    Never use hammers with wet hands.

    Hold the hammer as if you are shaking hands with someone.

    Do not strike with the side of the hammer.

TIPS TO INCREASE THE LONGEVITY OF YOUR TOOLS

  • Do not operate with wet hands
  • Don’t use unfamiliar tools without learning about its usage
  • Don’t pull the tool in the direction of your body
  • Don’t attempt to fix or repair a tool by yourself
  • Don’t leave your tools lying around
